Tasting Notes:
The 2010 Celani Family Vineyards Tenacious is made of 60% Estate grown Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc from the Stagecoach Vineyard barreled-aged for 22 months in 70% new French oak barrels. The result is a wine with deep penetrating aromatics of earthy black raspberries, crushed dried violets, summer brush, dusty plums with nuances of tea, orange peel, cherry cola, nutmeg and cinnamon. The initial blast of ripe black cherries compliments a seamless, powerful entry. Hallmarks of fruit concentration are clearly evident alongside an amazing balance and integration between fruit and tannin.
